Overview: Kyosei is Canon’s corporate philosophy and lies at the heart of this brand. “Kyosei” is a Japanese word that means “living and working together for the common good” – a principle that is embraced by all Canon employees. Canon South Africa is the leading provider of digital cameras, digital SLR cameras, inkjet printers and professional printers for business and home users in the South African market.

Brief #1: Create print ads showcasing Canon’s EOS camera range as well as lenses. The target audience is the birding community as the ads will appear in a birding magazine.

Brief # 2: Develop a big idea for a demand generation campaign to promote the Powershot and EOS camera ranges. Translate this into campaign elements that include digital and point-of-sale promotion.

Brief # 3: Every month, Canon produces a digital magazine called Click Magazine. They feature both an amateur and professional photographer, along with tips, news and information for photographers. Create the content for this magazine every month, including the development of an overarching theme, the selection and interviews of each photographer, as well as the additional informational pieces to flesh out the magazine.
